In August 2005, Forecourt & Technical Services were awarded the Mechanical and electrical contract by Unecol Ltd for their new depot in Callan, Co. Kilkenny. This contract included for the supply, installation and commissioning all equipment relevant to safe storage and loading of petroleum products including all loading arms, loading pumps, bulkmeters complete with preset controls and folding stairs with safety cages.  A catwalk and safety railings, together with access and escape facilities for the tank farm were also provided, as was an Electronic Tank Gauge system on all tanks. In addition four number retail fuelling pumps c/w a self service system were supplied and installed to offer full product sales capabilities to the public.

Also included was the full electrical installation of the total site including; the fitting out of the main building, offices and store room, together with the perimeter lighting and general area lighting. The electrical installation to required standards for the loading Gantry and tank equipment and, the supply and installation of the Fire and Theft Alarms.

The Mechanical fit out included all pipe work, valves and equipment relevant to the safe offloading, storage and distribution of a range of petroleum products. The total system incorporated both submersible and centrifugal pumping with safety being the primary objective of all aspects of the project.
